Dr. Platt joined RYMG on August 1, 2014.  She is an experienced primary care physician who offers warm, compassionate medical care along with proven alternative treatments. She accepts most insurances including many HMOs and Medicare plans as a part of RYMG.

 

Katrina Platt, DO received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA in 2008. She then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2011.

She has practiced medicine at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA and served as the Director of the Internal Medicine Clinic at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.  She is also a Designated Medical Examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration where she works with pilots and Air Traffic Controllers.    Her practice experience includes aesthetics (botox, fillers and peels), allergies, asthma, arthritis, diabetes, geriatrics, heart disease, herbal alternatives, high cholesterol, holistic medicine, hormone therapy, hypertension, infectious disease, menopause, men’s health, nutrition counseling, obesity, osteoporosis, osteopathic manipulation, pap smears, preventive medicine, sexual health, skin issues, sleep apnea and women’s health.

She said, “I enjoy building long-term relationships with my patients while promoting health and healing.” Dr. Platt also serves as an Associate Professor at Western University of Health Sciences. Per Western University’s website, “In addition to their basic science and clinical training, Osteopathic physicians (DOs) are additionally trained in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) to use their hands to diagnose and treat injury and illness and encourage the body's natural tendency toward good health. OMM enables physicians to treat their patients with the appropriate combination of medical procedures, medication, and manipulation. This form of treatment can often result in immediate relief and/or increased speed of healing.”

Her personal interests include spending time with her children, water sports, and serving as a counselor for the Boy Scouts of America. She sees patients ages 15 years and above.

She has moved from Dr. Sanchez/Magina/Rains previous office at 245 Terracina 251 Cajon Street in Redlands.
